LadyGaga 's Telephone Video feat Beyonce - Fashion rundown
What really makes a good music video? Is it the message, the fashion or the choreography? To me it could be all three things but fashion tops it all. So I came across Lady Gaga photos from her new and highly anticipated video, Telephone featuring Beyonce via stylist Nicola Formichetti's blog who styled the video. I must say , I love Formichetti unique visionary in this video and her and Gaga together , its magical. I love all the fashion on the video plus the choreography (forget the message). The cigarettes sunglasses designed by Haus of Gaga did it for me. They are ill. Did you see the smoke coming out of them ?? More reason to love Gaga..
On the video, Gaga and Beyonce are seen wearing pieces from designers Jeremy Scott, Thierry Mugler, custom made outfits from Gaga's Haus of Gaga, Victor &Rolf Brian Lichtenberg just to mention a few. Exactly what I expected from Gaga and more. Now I am gonna go put on my 5 inch dancing heels and hit the dance floor....in my living room.

..Hair pulled back into a pony tail....

Interview with Tanzanian Songstress Lady Jaydee aka Binti Machozi.
We recently caught up with Tanzanian Afropop singer Judith Daines Wambura Mbibo also known as Lady Jaydee or Binti Machozi for a little a chit chat interview. Lady Jaydee who released her first album in 2000 was voted as Best Tanzanian Female R&B Artist in 2002, performed at the Kora All Africa Designers Competition, and was awarded "Best R&B Album" at the Tanzania Music Awards in 2004. She also took home an award for "best female video for South Africa in 2005. Below is our full interview with the fabulous songstress.
FJ: So tell us, when did you know you wanted to become a musician ? Do you have a musical back ground?
LJ: I dont remember exactly when I wanted to become a musician but I started singing in a church choir when I was very young at age of 7 and never stoped since then
FJ: How does it feel to be named the first Tanzanian female artist to sing R&B Swahili?
LJ: It feels good always when people recognize and appreciate what you do especially when you are selected among the best talents the country produces.
FJ: How is the music mood in Tanzania right now especially in regards to "Kizazi Kipya" music?
LJ: Bongo Flava Music has grown so big and fast in a matter of a short period of time.All Radio and TV stations play more Bongo flavor music compared to ten years ago. However, We also have a much bigger problem internationalizing our music and our music industry because we don't have sophisticated and modern musical equipments or system that make music more interesting and lovable. Consequently, we can not make any meaningful financial gains from our music.
FJ: Who are some of your biggest inspirations as an artist?
LJ: I have been inspired by artists particularly Whitney Houston of the USA and Vyonne Chaka Chaka of South Africa, I play and listen to their music ritually. I love and admire their powerfull vocal performances, and you know I practiced and taught myself to become the best vocalist by singing their songs all the times.

Going Nude for Spring
I have always liked nude colors ever since they became runway trend. This Spring we are going to see a lot of nude shades and I am going to be one of the many fashionistas wearing this trend. I am thinking more of nude heels but I am not sure if I will get a shade that is going match my skin tone or close . I love nude heels because they make your legs look longer. I also love the idea of carrying a nude bag as it goes pretty much with every outfit in your wardrobe( Try pair it with a spring floral dress ). If you thinking of getting your fingers appear long then try nude nail polish. Wearing a nude dress will make you look sophisticated and sexy at the same time. Be creative and have fun by layering different nude shades and textures. So will you be trying this trend??

H&M Jeans / Drag Queen hair / Chloe
The weather has been really good these last few days. Too nice that I skipped the salon and ended up wearing a wig(do you like). I hate sitting in the salon when the sun is out and its warm. 4hours waiting to get you hair done is no joke. So my friends think long hair makes me look like a dude ....a drag queen. They are like " how you doing" . What do you think guys??
This is what I wore on Monday. I finally got to wear my second pair of H&M jeans. The jeans are a bit stretchy and I am very pleased with the good quality. Worn with an old off - the- shoulders blouse from Bloomingdales, coat from Zara, shoes from Sam Edelman, bag from Chloe and YSL sunnies.
My Chloe bag is 4 years old. I don't get to carry it as I much as I would love to. It gets dirty so easily because of the color.
After almost a year and half my Sam Edelman shoes are finally out of the box (out of the closet). They are super comfy. By the way , my jeans look like Chloe jeans from Spring/Summer 2010 collection (below). When I saw them I knew I had to have them. The only difference is they are skinny and Chloe jeans are not.

Spring trend alert: Legwear...Socks and Shoes
Apparently wearing shoes preferably heels with sock is the new trend . We first saw this trend on the runways last year when designers sent down their models decked out in fabulous shoes paired up with socks. It seems like it was just a matter of time before fashionistas start warming up to this trend. Will I be trying it?? you bet I will ( I am good at trying new trends). ??Would you try it? Well If you gonna do it here a few things to keep in mind;
Go for neutral tone similar to your shoes (think Burberry Prorsum spring 2010)
Thin fabrics work better, try sheer or opaque
They look great when teamed up with sandal heels ...take notes from stylist June Ambrose (below)..........
If you are going for a sporty or playful look try wearing knee high socks . Go for dark hues like black as it helps elongate your legs.

Gareth Pugh Fall 2010 collection
Gareth Pugh's new collection was presented today in Paris on the first day of Paris Fashion Week. I am totally , absolutely in love with the whole collection. Everything looks well executed , especially the leather jackets which look so amazing on the models. I love all the fabulous leather pants , jackets, the tailored pants and also the wide- leg pleated pants worn by the male models. What a great way to kick off Paris Fashion Week.

Oh Stella
The more I look at Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2010 collection photos,the more I think of Spring and Summer. Romantic ruffles, frills, sweet peplum, fun colors from neutral palettes to bright red, cobalt blue, tangerine, fuchsia done in luxe fabrics of silk, chiffon are definitely putting a huge smile on my face. The beautiful jackets, blouses, dresses, skirts and pants are super feminine perfect for a warm weather for a girl like me.

Mohawk done right!
I posted this photo on my Facebook but for all the Fashionjunkiis out there who are not on my Facebook friends list this one is for you. Two week ago I had my hair done in a Mohawk. It was the beginning of Fashion week plus my sister's birthday was coming up a week later after the shows. So I wanted to try something new, fun, edgy and different but still be able to maintain a chic and polished look. I now have a different hairstyle after rocking this Mohawk for over two weeks. Do you like it????? Ignore the background...please! By the way, I am thinking of having long locks before spring starts. We will see!

I wanna be dressed in Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010 right now.
I just can't stop drooling over Burberry Prorsum Fall 2010 collection. I don't know about you guys but the new collection got me all excited, so excited that I wish I could get a hold of some of the pieces from the collection and wear them right about now. I love the shearlings on the coats, jackets and the buckled boots, the military jackets are heaven, thigh- high boots done right in reptile leather, drapey dresses and skirts in lace and silk and the fur coats. The shearlings coats and buckled boots would be so perfect for this weather. I love ,love them a lot.

Down with the bad cold again / Today's outfit
This morning I woke up sick and ended up in my doctor's office. You know what happened when you have high fever, coughs and the sniffles. But thank God it wasn't H1N1. I am now trying to get as much rest as I can, and I am drinking a lot of fluids as well. Thanks to my friends who BBMed me right after I tweeted about my sickness from the doc's office. I love you guys. And special thanks goes to my girl Regina Kapinga from London. She was the first person to get in touch with me about my situation.
This is what I wore for my doctor's visit this morning. I was going for a military look. I wore Zara Balmain inspired tee( DIY for extra holes on the tee) and cardigan, H&M military inspired jacket (this picture doesn't do my jacket justice ) and animal prints scarf, tights from Loehmanns, and my fave Cole Haan G series boots. Don't you all love the idea of looking stylish while being sick? It helps recover quick.. I think!
